A Year to Remember – Thank You for Being Part of Our Journey
As the year draws to a close, we’ve taken a moment to look back and reflect on what has been one of the most memorable, challenging, and rewarding years in our journey so far.
Over the past 12 months, we’ve had the privilege of welcoming over 22,000 customers through our doors – each one choosing to spend their time with us, whether for a quiet lunch, a celebration with loved ones, or a well-earned night off. That number alone is something we are incredibly proud of, but what truly matters to us is the memories created around our tables.
This year, we launched two seasonal menus, carefully crafted by our kitchen team to reflect both creativity and quality, while staying true to the flavours and standards our guests know and love. From comforting favourites to new dishes that pushed us creatively, every plate served was done so with pride.
One of the standout moments of the year was seeing two of our chefs represent us at the Mold Food & Drink Festival, taking part in a live cookery demonstration. It was an incredible opportunity to showcase our food, our passion, and the talent behind the scenes – and a proud moment for the entire team.
We were also lucky enough to enjoy a glorious summer, and with it came long sunny days, full terraces, and countless drinks poured. From crisp pints and cocktails to celebratory bottles shared among friends and family, the atmosphere this summer was something truly special. Watching people relax, laugh, and celebrate with us is what makes all the hard work worthwhile.
And there were plenty of celebrations. Birthdays, anniversaries, family gatherings, graduations, reunions – moments big and small that people trusted us to be part of. That trust means everything to us.
That said, it hasn’t been an easy year. Like many businesses in hospitality, we’ve faced ongoing challenges brought on by the economic climate – rising costs, increased National Insurance contributions, and the continued pressure on independent businesses. These challenges are real, and at times they’ve been tough. But what has carried us through is the continued support of our customers, our community, and our incredible team.
Your loyalty, your kind words, your repeat visits, and your understanding have meant more to us than we can put into words. Every booking, every recommendation, every review – they all make a difference, and we never take that for granted.
As we look ahead, we do so with gratitude, ambition, and excitement for what’s to come. We’re proud of how far we’ve come this year, and we’re even more excited to continue growing, improving, and welcoming you through our doors in the year ahead.
